Curriculum Structure​

Master's Type 1 (research only) Master's Type 2 (course work and research)
Degree requirements: a minimum of 36 Credits

A. Course Work - None.

B. Thesis  36  Credits

    1. Master's Thesis courses  36  Credits

C. Non-credit courses

    1. Graduate School's requirements - English score
    2. Program's requirements
        2.1. Academic seminar - Registration every semester, each one by a non-credit course. Evaluation of the seminar with the letters S/U.
        2.2. In case of inadequate basic knowledge, academic committee may require to undertake extra-undergraduate courses without credits.

D. Academic activities

    1. Student must participate in at least 80 percent of academic seminars scheduled in each semester and presents a seminar on a topic related to his/her thesis as well as reports thesis progression once per semester, for at least 4 semesters. ​
    2. The whole or part of a thesis must be published or accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed international journal or​ published in English in Thai-Journal Citation Index (TCI) Tier 1 journal or ​obtain a patent which is related to his/her thesis  with the student's name being listed as the first author ​in at least one of the publications.
    3. Student must present the whole or part of his/her thesis work either in an oral or a poster form in an academic conference at least one paper. ​
    4. Student must report thesis progression to the Curriculum Administrative Committee every semester.​
    5. Student must report the thesis progression, using the graduate school format, to the Graduate school every semester, for approval by the Chairman of the Graduate Study Committee.

    1. Graduate courses  a minimum of  25  Credits
        1.1. Field of concentration courses  a minimum of  22  Credits
              1.1.1. Required courses  16  Credits
              1.1.2. Elective courses  a minimum of  6  Credits
        1.2. Other courses  a minimum of  3  Credits
               1.2.1. Required course  3  Credits
               1.2.2. Elective courses - The student may enroll other graduate     course(s) under the agreement of the advisor.
    2. Advanced undergraduate courses - In case the student lacks some basic knowledge which is necessary for education, the student must enroll in some advanced undergraduate course(s) under the recommendation of program administrative committee.
 
B. Thesis  12  Credits
     1. Master's Thesis courses  12  Credits

C. Non-credit course
    1. Graduate School's requirements - English score​
    2. Program's requirement - In case of inadequate basic knowledge, academic committee may require to undertake extra-undergraduate courses without credits.

D. Academic activities
    1. Student must participate in at least 80 percent of academic seminars scheduled in each semester and reports thesis progression starting from the first semester of the second year onwards.​
    2. The whole or part of a thesis must be published or accepted for publication in a peer-reviewed international journal or published in English in Thai-Journal Citation Index (TCI) Tier 1 journal or published in full paper in international Conference Proceedings ​with the student's name being listed as the first author in at least one of the publication.
    3. Student must report thesis progression to the Curriculum Administrative Committee every semester.​
    4. Student must report the thesis progression, using the graduate school format, to the Graduate school every semester, for approval by the Chairman of the Graduate Study Committee.
